Court closure for cleaning and repainting

The courts at Biddenden are going to be closed for two weeks from the 27th July for our contractors to carry out power washing, binding and repainting. The work itself will take around a week, but we need to wait for up to five days before re-opening the courts to give the paint a chance to dry.

This is essential maintenance work, which will ensure the courts remain safe and playable. Unfortunately, it is only possible to carry out the binding and re-painting work during the summer months, when the weather is warmer and more reliable.

We hope junior tennis will be able to resume on Saturday 8th of August. However, there is a slight risk of the re-opening being delayed if the weather is poor.

We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause for members, but I hope you will appreciate that, when we are back in action, we will all benefit from a first class, safe playing surface and a smart appearance.

Monthly members. ....
We will extend the membership period for monthly memberships by two weeks, so you do not lose out from the closure.

Many thanks for your understanding.
