The District Programme works alongside what clubs deliver across the region in their own programmes and aims to bring together more regularly competing juniors so that they can make up Team Borders.  Players are put forward by club coaches and selections are made by the Performance Working Group.

For juniors who are looking toward selection for the District Programme, they should be making a big effort to compete locally first and foremost.  District Coaches look to attend local tournaments, league matches and matchplays and can make selections based on their knowledge of who is competing regularly.  District Coaches are also in continuous communication with Club Coaches to find out who is working hard in sessions, demonstrating a good attitude and overall promise for district selection.
