A very special evening!

The evening opened with celebratory drinks and formalities from Club Chairman, Martin Seabrook and President, Simon Davies, who both spoke to recognise the remarkable transformation of our club and acknowledge everyone one who has played a part in the club’s achievements and success since learning of the extraordinary legacy left to us by Brenda Newport.

Guests enjoyed a delicious hog roast, flowing drinks and dancing into the evening. It was wonderful to see many of our newer members alongside familiar faces who have supported the club over the years.

It was a truly momentous evening. Looking around the clubhouse and grounds gave many of us goosebumps — everything we had planned 18 months ago, and everything we had hoped for, had become a reality and more.

It is so important that we remember and give thanks to Brenda Newport, whose generosity has helped secure the future of the club for many years to come.

The Opening Celebration Event also demonstrated how well the clubhouse — together with our fabulous staff — can perform during a busy social occasion, giving us great confidence to promote the club as a venue in the future.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of Saturday evening and to all those who have worked so hard on the transformation of our beautiful grounds and lovely clubhouse over recent months.
