Gloucestershire Pickleball League – Second Season, Week Two Results

The second round of fixtures in the second season of the Gloucestershire Pickleball League took place on 10th May, with both Panthers teams ready and eager to compete.

Panthers Wild – Division 3

Panthers Wild secured another impressive 2nd-place finish in Division 3, recording 8 wins and 4 losses. Unfortunately, they missed out on promotion by just one point and will remain in Division 3 for the next round of fixtures.

Once again, Division 3 proved to be an extremely competitive division, with two teams relegated each week. Despite narrowly missing promotion, the Panthers demonstrated that they have the quality and determination needed to challenge for a place in Division 2 — an achievement the team will continue to target in the coming weeks.

Panthers Mild – Division 4

Panthers Mild produced a fantastic performance to finish 3rd in Division 4, recording 11 wins and 9 losses, and missing promotion by the narrowest of margins — just a single point.

The competition was tough throughout the day, but the team showed great resilience and determination, battling hard for every point and never giving up.

Congratulations to all the players who represented the club this week, including several who were making their league debut. The performances across both teams show plenty of promise for the weeks ahead.

Great start to the Gloucestershire Pickleball League season! 🐾

The first round of fixtures in the second season of the Gloucestershire Pickleball League saw both Dink Panthers teams competing strongly in their respective divisions.

Panthers Wild – Division 3

Panthers Wild finished 2nd in Division 3 after recording 5 wins and 7 losses. In a tightly contested division, the team successfully retained their Division 3 place on points difference, avoiding relegation in a format where two teams went down and only one team earned promotion.

The squad showed excellent resilience throughout the opening week and will look to build on this solid platform in the coming fixtures.

Panthers Mild – Division 4

Panthers Mild finished 6th in Division 4 during a challenging opening round of matches. Despite tough opposition, the team continued to compete positively and gained valuable league experience.

With two promotion places available in Division 4, the standard of competition was extremely high, but the team remained committed and supportive throughout the event.

Well done to all players who represented the club so positively in the opening week of league action.
