Pay & Play
Broadstairs Tennis Club is pleased to be backing the LTA's Play Your Way campaign and we offer opportunities for non-members to Pay and Play, for £10.00 per court per hour on our courts – located near Thanet Rugby Club – at selected times during the week. Walking Tennis comes to Broadstairs!
Walking Tennis has been designed to be accessible for all. It's still tennis - but with a few tweaks: you can't run or jump; you use slightly different balls, and you can let the ball bounce twice for extra time. It can be purely social, or nicely competitive - but everyone can play!
Walking Tennis is for anyone that wants to play tennis, but at their own pace. It's ideal for those who:
- Used to play tennis
- Have never played tennis before
- Are looking to get more active
- Are recovering from an injury
We have a Walking Tennis coaching session every Monday at 12noon. Here, participants will learn the nuances of the game and understand the rules. This session is ideal for beginners and provides a solid foundation in Walking Tennis.
The first session is complimentary, allowing everyone to experience the joy of the game risk-free. Subsequent sessions still priced at £8 each, or you can opt for a monthly package at £29.50.
There is a Walking Tennis social session on Fridays between 12 and 2 pm. Members - Free. Non-members - £5 per session. All welcome! Club members can also book and play Walking Tennis anytime, free of charge, subject to availability.
About Us
Welcome to Broadstairs & St. Peter's Tennis Club website. Our aim is to encourage players of all ages and abilities to enjoy tennis here in Broadstairs.
Those who wish to take up tennis for the first time can get help and support through our coaching system, and are welcome to all the social events. Juniors are particularly encouraged and a well established coaching scheme is available to them.
We have 6 floodlit courts (all clay) so tennis can be played every day and evening. Lighting is free to members.
The club is affiliated to the LTA and KLTA and we enter teams in both the Kent and East Kent summer and winter leagues.
Social tennis is played all year round on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings (10am-12 noon) and on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (6.30pm-9.30pm) and is open to all members. We also hold a Social tennis session for Improvers on Wednesdays between 7.30 pm and 9 pm.
