Top tennis coach at Broughton

We are pleased to anounce that Mike McMillin, a full time LTA Level 3 tennis coach will be working through Broughton Tennis CLub.

Originally from New Zealand, Mike lives in Moffat. In addition to his tennis credentials, he is a SRU Level 2 Rugby Coach and has qualifications in Squash/Racketball, Table Tennis and is a qualified fitness instructor/personal trainer.

Mike has played and represented tennis at county and national level in New Zealand (playing tournaments in New Zealand, Australia, Asia, North America and the UK) as well as playing squash at county level and rugby in the Auckland and North Harbour club competions in New Zealand (Mike was part of the coaching team at Bedford Rugby Club in the English Rugby Premiership in the 1990s).

Mike has lived in the UK for 23 years and in Scotland for 12 years, he runs Advance Tennis Coaching which provides tennis and sports coaching to various clubs in East Lothian, the Borders and Dumfries and Galloway. He is also currently working with top ranked junior players in Scotland and the UK.

Mike has worked with, and trained under, top coaches including Judy Murray, Leon Smith, Greg Rusedski, Louis Cayer, Jose Higueras (once Roger Federers Coach), Kris Souter and Simon Wheatley. Mike was awarded the Dumfries and Galloway Community Coach of the Year award for 2016.
