Safeguarding for all

At Burbage and Easton Royal Tennis Club, safeguarding is a paramount concern, reflecting our commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all our members. Despite being a small village club with limited committee members and volunteers, we take our responsibility for safeguarding seriously. Our emphasis lies in maintaining openness, transparency, and streamlined processes to ensure the well-being of everyone involved in our community.

Our Club thrives on simplicity and clarity in all aspects, including safeguarding procedures. We believe that a straightforward approach not only makes it easier for our members to understand but also encourages them to actively participate in creating a safe space for everyone. Though our size might be modest, our dedication to safeguarding is unwavering.

We recognize the importance of structure in safeguarding, and we have implemented clear signposting throughout the Club to guide members on the processes and protocols in place. We aim to make it as easy as possible for individuals to report any concerns they may have. Whether it's a volunteer, a parent, or a player, we want everyone to feel confident and supported in bringing forward any issues related to safeguarding.

One of our key strengths lies in the open, present, and approachable nature of our committee. Despite our small size, each committee members are easily identifiable, and we actively encourage communication between members and the committee. This approach fosters a sense of trust within the Club, making it more likely for concerns to be reported promptly.

By maintaining a close-knit and transparent community, we believe we can effectively address any safeguarding issues that may arise. Our commitment to safeguarding is not just a policy but a fundamental part of our Club's culture, reflecting our dedication to the well-being of every member, young or old, at Burbage and Easton Royal Tennis Club.
