Castor and Ailsworth Pickleball club took part in two mixed doubles competitions this summer, one against David Lloyd Peterborough and another against Boston in July.  Whilst both were very close, with lots of hard fought matches, CATC won!!  Both were super competitive and were great days. Boston were very welcoming, had excellent facilities and provided an amazing post match supper!

In August and September we played our club mixed and gender doubles competitions. These were for all abilities and ages ranging from 17-87!  Fortunately both days were warm and sunny and proved to be a huge success.  Mens doubles gold medal winners were Tim Poras and Chris Challis, Ladies doubles was won by Suzanne Digby and Vanessa Ingham.  The mixed doubles was won by Amy Nishita and Tim Poras. After each we celebrated socially, firstly with a BBQ and the following time  with a Pizza supper. The camararderie within the club is outstanding and all had a brilliant time.
