Welcome to Chatteris Tennis Club
The club is a social and friendly place to play tennis. Everyone is welcome from complete beginners to more competent players
Facilities include:
- 4 outdoor all weather hard courts, all with modern LED floodlights enabling year-round play.
- Thriving social tennis sessions.
- Clubhouse with onsite toilet facilities.
- Coaching sessions.
Chatteris Tennis Club is open to everyone all year round.
Courts can be booked by non members through this website.
Chatteris Tennis Club has been in the town, on it existing site, for over one hundred years, having started out with just two grass courts. Today, the Club is very much at the heart of the community, welcoming players of all ages and abilities from the town and surrounding villages.
The Club has continued to improve its facilities and now offers four hard tennis courts, all with floodlights enabling year-round play, a Clubhouse, toilets, free on-site parking and equipment, plus various club events, and coaching programmes for all abilities.
Both social tennis and league matches are available, with Club nights held Mondays and Wednesdays at 6pm and from 10am on Sunday mornings.
The Club has also received recognition from the Lawn Tennis Association, named as ‘Tennis Club of the Year for Cambridgeshire’ in 2016, as well as being Runner-Up for ‘Club of the Year’ in the prestigious Living Sport Awards. Furthermore, Simon Grainger, the Club’s previous Chairperson, Treasurer and Men’s A Team Captain won the LTA National Lifetime Achievement Award for Tennis.
