Congratulations to all of the winners and runners up from our Club Champs for 2023 where the finals were played on October 14th.

• The ladies singles was successfully defended by Emma Cooper in a repeat of last year’s final against Hannah Carter (now Roberts).
• Emma and Hannah successfully defended their doubles title against Sarah Simpson and Sonia George.
• Sarah was able to reverse her fortune by winning the Mixed doubles with Emmanuel Sabbatier in a really close 3 setter against James Purkiss and Karen Wigley.
• Mark Swinscoe defended his singles title defeating Ben Owens but Ben walked away with the mens doubles titles with his partner Peter Evans in a close fought match against Andy Smith and Paul Bartram.

For the fist time in 2023 we ran plate draws for all those who lost their first round main draw match with the following winners and runners up:

• Mens singles – Charlie Bloomer defeated Paul Opie
• Mens doubles – Joe Fung and David Rumbey defeated Scott Pullen and Adam Hurst
• Ladies Doubles – Andrea Archer and Julia King defeated Linda Roberts and Pat Williams
• Mixed Doubles – Julia King and Paul Opie defeated Charles Gordon and Helen Stuckey

The Plate draws and finals will now become part of our Club Champs every year.
