About Us

Chobham & District Lawn Tennis Club, is a small and friendly club that is very active both competitively and socially throughout the year. The club is located within the borders of Chobham Recreation Ground, next to the Parish Pavilion and alongside the Chobham Memorial Gardens.

Our club facilities consist of 3 hard tennis courts, all of which are floodlit, plus a practice wall, at the back of Court No.3 and a clubhouse.

We run 6 'turn up and play’ Mix-in tennis sessions, every week of the year:

Thursday & Friday mornings from 9.30am to 12 Noon

Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm to 9.00pm

Thursday evenings (Team members only) from 7:30pm to 9.00pm

Saturday afternoons from 1:00pm to 4.30pm

Sunday mornings from 10am to 12 Noon

We also run a range of group coaching sessions led by our coaches, Michael Jefferies and Chris Hearn including a Beginners and Improvers on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.  run by Chris and Michael's Beginner to Winner courses run on Monday afternoons and Thurday evenings.

The club has approximately 100 senior playing members, ranging in age from 16 to 90+. There is also a junior section, with members ranging in age from 5 to 16. For Juniors, we offer ‘Tiger Tennis’ courses run by tennis coach Michael Jefferies. These are entertaining coaching sessions that run throughout the week from 4:30pm during school terms plus Saturday mornings. Please see the Coaching page for more details.   

Our club is very active in the Woking Tennis Leagues, where we enter 5 doubles teams, throughout the Summer & Winter seasons. We also run a range of club tournaments and our Singles Box Leagues which are open to all members.

Public Access

The courts are open to Chobham Residents at the following times:

Mondays 9am to 1pm 

Tuesdays 9am to 1pm

Wednesdays 9am to 1pm

Sundays  8am to 10am

Courts must be booked through the Parish Office admin@chobhamparishcouncil.org
