Committee Meetings and Minutes

Our Club Management Committee convene throughout the year to plan and discuss the goings on at the club, as well as holding an Annual General Meeting (AGM) once a year to give an in-person update to members on the clubs progress over the past 12 months and for members to share their thoughts, feedbac and suggestions for the club for the year ahead.

Minutes for Annual East Christchurch Tennis Club Meeting

Membership/website(s)/court bookings

Tennis in Christchurch website now feeds into two sites for booking

Court booking £8 p/hour – raising £200-£300 a month currently

Household: 106; Juniors: 9

New members: 56; across 18 packages

Attoro members: 16 regular; 22 court booking

 

Coaching Programme/schools

Over 300 players in coaching/schools programme

PE at Mudeford Junior School

After-School clubs at; Mudeford Juniors school, Christchurch Infants, Highcliffe St.Mark's, Stourfield Infants, Twynham Primary and  St.Joseph's. New links being explored with other local schools.,

78 players in after-school clubs

121 juniors involved; 71 adults + holiday club players

 

Treasurer report

New Treasurer voted in; Malcolm Partridge to replace Lee Cantrill

Lee Cantrill to become Social Secretary

Fundraising now complete - £2,450 in account; £2,050 from memberships

£500 in sponsorship from Bridge Health (banners now on-site)

No expected major outgoings this year now but plans for new nets, windbreaks, carpet for clubhouse, patio area revamp, bar, clubhouse painting (with donation from Dulux).

Put forward for £500 Allianz local grant

Wimbledon Sweepstake (in-house fundraiser)

Advertising spot for local businesses on each court

Bridge Health offers our members 50% off first consultation

Signage at front has been improved with temporary banners over the old metal signs

170+ people turned up – feedback was excellent. Deputy Mayor of Christchurch attended. 2 new sign ups on the day.

Members raised concerns over the conduct of netball players on adjacent courts using the courts gates during Tennis club sessions - HL to discuss with netball mamangement and signage to be added to gates to inform netballers of appropriate conduct.
