After last season’s Floodlit league, it is hoped to run again up until Christmas. Players need to let Chris Booth know if they would like to take part; it can be mixed partnerships or if you want a partner please let him know. Play is on Thursday nights for an hour a match and the cost is £1.50 per pair for each match to cover the cost of balls and the floodlights. Closing date is 28th October
Some of the ladies of the club made a trip to Murcia to play tennis and relax over the first weekend in October. A good time was had by all and it is hoped to go again next year at the same time sampling the Spanish sea, sun and shale courts!!!!
Winter coaching seems to be going well at the moment but this is just a reminder to keep an eye on the Coaching section of the website to see if coaching is cancelled if you are not sure and are about to leave home. Also if you want to come down to the club for a ‘hit’ it might be worth checking if the court is booked out so you do not waste your journey!
There is also the chance to play social tennis on Sunday mornings from 10.30 and on Tuesday nights, from 6.30. If you are thinking of playing on Tuesday please let Jo Gibbs-Jones know on 07757 826668 and she will tell you how many are hopefully going to turn up
Happy Tennising!
