2025 Summer Tennis
The tennis club is now closed until May 2025, when the summer grass tennis season commences at the City Lawn Tennis Club in Rochester.
Please come and join us at one of our club sessions for a game of tennis on grass in May 2025.
Introduction
City Lawn Tennis Club is a grass court tennis Club situated in Watts Meadow, Rochester, Kent, just off the Rochester Maidstone Road.
Courts / Playing Times
We have 3 grass courts and play tennis from May until the end of September (subject to the weather) every:
- Wednesday evening from 5:30pm until dusk.
- Saturday mornings from 11:00am until 2:30pm
History
The club has been established for over 125 years at this location in Rochester. We are a small, friendly club that warmly welcomes new members.
Members
The club caters for adults, students, children and for players of all abilities and is affiliated with the British Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and fully upholds its Safeguarding policies.
Access to the courts
Access to the courts is via the steps at the end of Kings Avenue (ME1 3DS) and turning right or via Ethelbert Road (ME1 3EU) and by walking up the side of the allotments about 400m to the courts on the right hand side.
Coaching
Group and One to One coaching is available from an LTA accredited tennis coach.
