Doubles Play
The committee have decided that with immediate effect and in line with LTA guidance, doubles play can resume. The guidance can be found here – https://www.lta.org.uk/globalassets/news/2020/lta-guidance-for-tennis-players---covid-19.pdf.
It is very important to read and follow the LTA Guidance. Key themes are:
- Before leaving your house, wash your hands.
- In addition (not as a substitute) we are sourcing hand sanitiser and a dispenser.
- Keep one set of balls per court;
- Adhere, wherever possible, to social distancing ie 2 metres apart.
Social Play
With effect from Sunday 7 June, social play will resume. The same rules set out in the LTA Guidance apply. To reduce the risk of overcrowding, numbers are limited to 16 players per session. Please sign up in advance using the booking system on the club website: to the right of court 4 you will see a column named “Social tennis”. Book one of the 16 “half-hour” slots: ignore the times, it’s just a convenient way to register names for the session. If you are unable to access the booking system, please let a committee member know and they will organise it for you.
Except for first aid, balls, handwashing and accessing toilets, the clubhouse remains closed.
