A New Year of Tennis at Congresbury Tennis Club 🎾

As we step into an exciting new year, everyone at Congresbury Tennis Club is feeling energised, motivated, and ready for a fantastic season ahead. While winter tennis in the UK always brings its fair share of challenges — colder temperatures, shorter days, and unpredictable weather — our members and players have shown incredible determination. Rain, frost, or chill in the air, the Congresbury tennis community continues to train, compete, and prepare with real focus and resilience.

All of this hard work through the winter months is vital as we build towards an action-packed summer of matches, leagues, and club competitions. The commitment and enthusiasm shown by our juniors, adults, and coaching team means we’re heading into the new season stronger than ever.

Important Coaching Update – Junior Direct Debit Scheme

We’re delighted to introduce an important update to our junior coaching programme. All weekday junior coaching has now moved to a direct debit system, making it easier, more convenient, and more cost-effective for families.

No more remembering to rebook each term — direct debit ensures consistent coaching throughout the year and better value overall. When signing up to direct debit, juniors will receive:

• 39 coached lessons per year

• 50% off private lessons

• £5 two-hour match play weeks during half term

This structure allows our players to develop steadily while giving parents peace of mind and simplicity.

Exciting Events Coming Up in 2024

We have a brilliant calendar of events lined up and we can’t wait to welcome everyone on court:

🎾 Mixed Generation Tournament – 28th February
A fun and unique doubles tournament pairing children with a parent or guardian:

• Ages 4–9: 1:30pm – 3:00pm

• Ages 10+: 3:00pm – 5:00pm

A great opportunity for families to play together and enjoy tennis in a relaxed, friendly environment.

🎾 February Half Term Camps – 16th–20th February
Our popular half term camps will be running from 9:00am to 1:00pm, offering high-energy coaching, skill development, and plenty of fun for juniors of all abilities.

🎾 Club Open Days – 9th & 10th May
One of the biggest dates in the club calendar:

• Junior Open Day: 9th May from 12pm

• Adult Open Day (NEW for 2024!): 10th May from 12pm

These open days are perfect for new players, returning members, and anyone curious about joining the club.
