Tom offers individual lessons for both adults and juniors at £33 per hour for non-members and £30 per hour for members. Member discounts are also available at £40 for a 90-minute session (£43 for non-members), or £100 in advance for 4 one-hour sessions (£112 for non-members).

Tom is a friendly, experienced and passionate tennis coach with over 10 years of coaching experience. Over the years, he has worked with players of all ages and abilities, helping them develop their skills, confidence and enjoyment of the game. He spent many years at King’s Tennis Club in Bristol as a key member of the successful Elly Shearman coaching team, and has also coached at Writhlington and Lansdown Tennis Clubs. Earlier in his career, Tom gained valuable experience in New Zealand, where he worked with professional-level players.

As well as coaching, Tom is a qualified Regional Referee and is one of the Under-8 County Coaches for Avon County Tennis. He is also an active player for Congresbury’s league teams, with a big ambition to help push the club closer to winning Division 1.

One of Tom’s biggest passions is working with younger players. He particularly enjoys coaching the Under-8 age groups and has a rare enthusiasm for introducing toddlers aged 1 to 4 to tennis in a fun, positive and engaging way. His aim is always to create a welcoming environment where players can learn, improve and build a lifelong love for the sport.

Tom’s dedication to inclusive tennis has also been recognised across the region. He was the first coach in the South West to complete 100 volunteer hours, and in 2022 he was awarded Avon Tennis Disability Coach of the Year.
