Cottenham Tennis Club

We are a small friendly club, based at Cottenham Sports Centre, behind the Village College.  There are 4 floodlit, all-weather courts so we can play all year.  We enter two competitive men's teams in the Cambridgeshire league matches and we have ladies and mixed doubles teams too. We are always looking for more players in all teams, no need to be Wimbledon standard! Why not come along one Wednesday or Monday to social/club night (6.30-8.30pm) and get a feel for the club.

CLUB HOURS

Below are the club hours when full members have exclusive use of the courts for free.

A number of courts are reserved for club use but please note that some of these may be taken up with coaching, club sessions and matches which all take priority over informal play.  Court availability is shown on the Court Bookings page.

Mondays:  5:00-9:30pm - 4 courts

Wednesdays:  5:00-9:30pm - 4 courts

Thursdays:  5:00-9:30pm - 4 courts

Fridays:  5:00-8:00pm - 2 courts

Saturdays:   8:30am-4:30pm - 4 courts

Sundays & bank holidays:  Sports Centre closed

COURT BOOKINGS

During club hours, members must book courts using the Court Bookings page here on our Clubspark website.

Outside club hours, members need to book via the Sports Centre on their online booking system on www.vivifyvenues.com.   The cost is £3.50 for members. 

CLUB NIGHT / SOCIAL NIGHT - Wednesdays: 6:00-9:30pm

These are social tennis sessions for members age around 16+, just turn up, no need to book, no charge.  All 4 courts are available for club night.  Sessions run all year apart from over the Christmas period.  A club member will be there to provide balls and organise games of doubles.  This is a great way to meet people and find others who play at your level.  Club night is not suitable for beginners.  It is suitable for anyone who has had some coaching as well as those feeling a bit rusty and wishing to return to tennis.  Non-members are welcome to try club night for up to 3 sessions before taking out membership.  We advise joining the main club WhatsApp Group to take part by emailing the Club Secretary with your mobile number on info@cottenhamtennis.co.uk.

MONDAY SOCIAL NIGHT - Mondays 6.30-8.00pm

FAMILY CLUB SESSIONS - Saturdays: 2:00-4:00pm

Fun sessions for adults and children with membership, led by a club volunteer, once or twice a month.  See Events for dates and details.

SPORTS CENTRE STANDARD OPENING HOURS

• Mondays - 4.30-10pm
• Tuesdays to Fridays - 4pm-10pm
• Saturdays -  8am-5pm
• Sundays & bank holidays - Closed

Note that only coaches with a DBS check running coaching programmes for under 18s are allowed on site before 5pm.  No adult without a DBS check is allowed on site before 5pm.

PAY & PLAY - Anyone, member or non-member, can hire a court directly via Cottenham Sports Centre, now run by Vivify.  Full price is £10.00 an hour.  Tennis Club members pay £3.50 an hour outside club hours.  See their website for prices, times and how to book:www.vivifyvenues.com
