We should like to let you know about an exciting new Club Tournament that we are planning, in order to kick off the new tennis season on Sunday, 29th March 2020.

It was agreed, during a Committee meeting held on January 20th, that we would introduce a special invitation only Tournament. 

As you know we try to hold four tournaments each year, open to all members, at the same time as the Grand Slam Tournaments and a Christmas Jumper Tournament, again open to all members.

The players invited to participate in our sixth & newest tournament would be the 16 men and women who have most supported the clubs Grand Slam and Christmas Tournaments over the past 18 months - 2 years, (as recorded by our tournament organiser, Paul Williams).

The male and female players will be seeded and divided into 2 groups in order that they are fairly balanced. 

The committee particularly wanted to support this tournament as a show of gratitude and appreciation for those who regularly give up their time and support the club by taking part in the internal Club Competitions. 

As a way of showing this appreciation, there will be no entry fee for this event, but, as with the current tournaments there will be prizes for the winners and runners up in each section of each group.

The prizes for this invitation tournament will be a discount of £50 from next years’ Club fees for the 4 winners i.e. the male and female winner of each group.

Players who have qualified for this tournament will be contacted by Paul Williams at the beginning of February and we hope that those invited will be able to participate and enjoy this inaugural event.
