How can I book?
You can book it right now on the club's existing Booking page here: https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/CraigmillarParkLTC/Booking/
You'll need to register with the LTA (if you haven't already) - it is a quick and easy process and you'll be guided through it.
How much does it cost?
Any tennis club members (other than Juniors U8) OR Padel only members (£5 per month) will pay a discounted court hire rate vs public / Junior U8 tennis club member bookings:
Weekdays (price per court per hour)
7am to 10am: Members £8/ Non-members £16
10am to 5pm: Members £12/ Non-members £20
5pm to 10pm: Members £16/ Non-members £24
Weekend (price per court per hour)
7am to 10am: Members £8/ Non-members £16
10am to 5pm: Members £16/ Non-members £24
5pm to 10pm: Members £12/ Non-members £20
I'm an existing or prospective tennis member - am I eligible for the discounted rate?
Yes - all existing and new tennis members (aside from Juniors U8) will automatically get the discounted rate which would normally cost £60 annually by itself. This makes the Full Tennis (including Padel) membership intro rate of £95 for new members incredibly good value for both tennis play and padel discounted play.
I'm only interested in Padel - where do i become a member?

What are the advantages of becoming a member?
Cheaper booking rates & book further in advance than non-members.
Invites to club social events / free padel opportunities e.g. Midsummer night BBQ.
Free entry into the Craigmillar Park Padel Box Leagues (launched August 2023 with 30 pairs!) & annual Club Tournament (held in the winter).
Ability to represent the club in local leagues / Scottish Cup.
Entry into additional Wimbledon Ticket draw (LTA Advantage Draw).
I'm a Junior U8 Tennis Club member - can I become eligible for discounted rates?
Yes - by adding the Padel only subscription (£5 per month) to your existing annual tennis subscription.
Are bats / balls provided?
Yes entry level bats will be available to borrow for free (you'll receive a code to access). We recommend you bring your own balls however there will likely be some used ones available in the same box as the bats.
When in advance and how long / how many times can I book?
You can book in 30 minute increments slots of up to 2 hours (minimum of 1 hour for non-members).
Members can book up to 3 times a day (this number is shared with tennis bookings) and non-members 2 bookings per day.
Members can book 10 days in advance (aside from Students 9 & Juniors 8 days).
Non-Members can book 7 days in advance.
Do you run free taster sessions?
Yes! These are available 1.30pm on Saturdays by pre-booking your place by emailing us. These are for people who haven't tried out padel or our court before. Or if you and 3 friends can get together at a different time - let us know when and we'll try and accomodate you.
How can I take part in the Box Leagues?
These are for members only and are free to enter. We had 30 pairs across 6 divisions in our first round in August 2023 and are up to 39 pairs in our current cycle which ends 31st March. Contact us now to get involved in round 4 starting in April. Email us to enter.
How will I access the grounds & court?
You'll receive a code for the grounds in your booking confirmation along with your unique PIN that will give you access to the padel court for the duration of your booking (it'll work slightly before and after also).
How do the floodlights operate?
LED Floodlights will come on automatically for your booking regardless of the time of day.
Can I use the tennis ball machine on the padel court?
Unfortunately not due to practicality & safety reasons.
What if I need to cancel?
You can cancel your booking online with a full refund up until 24 hours before your booking. After that the payment will be taken if you use the court or not.
Can I block book weekly time-slots?
Yes - email our padel admin to indicate interest. With payment in advance you will be able to book the same slot for up to 2 months if we can offer the slot. Please note that block bookings are not eligible for cancellation refunds.
Do all players need to be members to get the discounted rate?
No - clearly we encourage this so that all Padel players get the key venue/ tournament / social play info, however as long as the person booking is a member - the discounted rate applies. If a member books then there must be at least one member that plays. Only members will be able to particpate in the Padel Ladder, club teams, club champs & club social free play events.
