The inaugural edition of the China Cup was held at Dowanhill on Saturday 9th November 2024.  Our team from Dowanhill took the trophy on this occasion, spectators were treated to some solid and crafty tennis from the Dowanhill veterans and also some spectacular shot making from our young Chinese challengers.

Big shout out to coach Chris Murphy for organising the event and indeed putting up the winners trophy of specialty tea.

Special thanks to David Walker for his donation of a bottle of whisky which I am sure was enjoyed by our runners up!

Let's be honest The Davis Cup and The Ryder Cup had to start somewhere and the "Murphy-Walker Trophy" has a really nice ring to it!!!
