Congratulations to Lynne Dempster and Gerry McGinty who brought home the win for Dumbarton Tennis Club in the inaugural John Smith inter club competition held between the club and our friends at Cardross Tennis Club.  A fantastic turnout from both clubs ensured a great afternoon's tennis was enjoyed by all whilst also helping to raise £140 for the British Heart Foundation. Most importantly it proved a very fitting way to remember John, his love of tennis, and to celebrate the outstanding contribution he made to our club. We would like to thank everyone who came along to support us, especially our visitors from Cardross, and everyone who brought refreshments and home baking.  Special thanks goes to all those who helped organise this afternoons event, especially Celia, Anna, and Gerry who had the tricky task of organising us on court, one which they did so very well! 

We were all entertained today. We're sure John would have been too ❤️
