Safeguarding and Policies

Dumbarton Tennis Club is committed to providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive place to play tennis and is accredited as a Gold Level Club by the West Dunbartonshire Leisure Quality Club Scheme. We recognise that the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults is of the utmost importance and will always ensure we have a PVG approved committee member in attendance at all junior coaching and events. Welfare Officer

Clare Donnelly is the club's Welfare Officer. As part of her role Clare undertakes regular safeguarding training on LTA approved courses and together with our wider committee, is responsible for ensuring that club policies continue to meet both the national guidance set by Tennis Scotland, and the needs of our members. Clare is also your first point of contact if you have any concerns or questions regarding any aspect of safety at the club. Clare's contact details can be found on our contacts page and are also included in our welfare newsletter, which is distributed annually to our members, displayed at the club, and which you can also read here.

Report a Concern

In addition to contacting our Welfare Officer, you can report any concerns you have confidentially by contacting the Lawn Tennis Association directly through the LTA Register a Concern Portal, or by contacting the LTA Safe and Inclusive Tennis Team on 020 8487 7000, sageguarding@lta.org.uk.

Child Supervision

In line with national guidance all children under the age of 13 attending the club outside of organised club activities should be supervised by a parent or appropriate known adult.
