Coronavirus Tier system 2 November 2020

As we enter the tiered levels of coronavirus restrictions today, Monday 2 November, we would like to let you know what that means for tennis at the club.

Fife, and therefore, Dunfermline currently sits in Tier 2. For us there is little change with singles, doubles play and all coaching still allowed. Spectating is still not allowed, but child supervision is as long there is only one parent. As per new Scotgov advice on schools please wear a mask for drop off and pick up at children’s coaching sessions. For child supervision, please spread out around the sides of the court. Please maintain minimum 2 metres social distancing when off court and continue to follow strict health and hygiene protocols – hand washing and use of hand sanitiser before and after play etc. Toilets remain open to those with access and for children’s coaching sessions.

Please think before bringing guests from other areas of Levels 0, 1 and 2. Scotgov guidance is to minimise unnecessary journeys between areas in different levels. Please do not bring guests from any places in Level 3 or Level 4.

England goes into national lockdown from Thursday midnight with significantly stricter restrictions including tennis. Scotgov is currently considering options. We may be in line for more changes within a short timescale so please look out for further emails and information on the website and Facebook.

Stay safe!
