Men's National League Match Report v Stirling University

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŽพNational League v Stirling University (home)
๐Ÿ“ Match Report

A brilliant effort from the DTC boys today, testing themselves against comfortably the best University side in Scotland and one of the top 2 or 3 University sides in the UK!

All 4 players played extremely well and despite losing their singles matches, it was a great test to see where their tennis is currently at and where they need to improve to take it to the next level.

Courts 1, 2 & 3 were flooded, so the matches were played on courts 4 & 5 and it's quite possibly the best standard of matches that have ever been played on those courts in the club's long history!

Scores/results:
Michael Morrison lost to Liam Hignett 6-1, 6-2
Lewis Mackintosh lost to Cameron Fryer 6-2, 4-6, 10-7
Michael Russell lost to Rob Cowley 6-3, 3-6, 10-6
Scott Morrison lost to Patrick Young 6-3, 6-2

(The two doubles matches had just started to get underway before the heavens opened again and unfortunately the courts became unplayable).

Well done to the Stirling University boys for making the effort to come through, some travelling from as far as Manchester to play!  Each match was played in great spirits and good luck to them next Sunday against Newlands.

We'll be away to Strathgryffe (Renfrewshire) a week today in our last match of the National League season...
