Final match of Spring League came last weekend with the party for promotional cadidates almost spoiled by a strong team of young East Kilbride boys!

Cameron Lang (pictured), Luke Quigley, Connor Shepherd and Stuart Campbell made the stage to a bewildered Strathgryffe team who came to EK to find it snowing breifly with the sunshine returning and warming things up!

Singles got off to a level start and the first time we've took a singles match this season came with not one but two victories! Cameron faced a strong opponent and as per usual put in a great performance but, succumed to a defeat and joining him was Stuart on court four to an opponent only there due to his rating. Luke and Connor both defeated their opponents on court 2 & 3 drawing the match at 2-2.

Doubles time and both pairs got off to the worst start both losing the first set. It wasn't over yet though as the symmetry on cours 1 and 3 was mirraculous bringing the 2nd set into a tie breaker. Unfortunately, the 2nd set was also the final set as Luke and Cameron threw away a match point to then be defeated 11-9. Connor and Stuart feeling the same brden after losing 8-6.
