Notes from the coach

An efficient tennis strength and conditioning programme is a long term physical development process, to ensure players receive the age-specific athletic underpinning to support their tennis performance. For a tennis player to perform at their best they must have just the right mix of aerobic and anaerobic endurance, flexibility for full range of motion of strokes, explosive strength and power, speed off the mark and agility, balance and coordination. Players will focus on improving on these areas during the duration of the course with the expertise of two strength and conditioning coaches and regular fitness tests to track progressions in performance. This course is a community project open to everyone in Edinburgh, with 50% discount for members of the EULTC.
