Disability Tennis Open Day

Disability Tennis Open Day

In Partnership with Advantage Tennis, Edinburgh’s #1 Disability Tennis Programme.

The Edinburgh University Lawn Tennis Club have the goal of integrating Disability Tennis full-time into our coaching programme. As an ‘Advantage Approved’ club we’ll be offering the highest levels of coaching for people with a range of disabilities - physically impaired, visually and mental disorders. We plan to introduce regular wheelchair tennis sessions, visually impaired tennis and ASN tennis all into the schedule being both open to students to partake in and the local community.

There are 40,000+ students at the University and a further 7,000+ connected with our Sports Union. With these numbers in mind we want to try and engage as many students with disabilities to pick up a racquet and join us at our Disability Tennis Open Day on the 28th of February between 930AM-1230PM at The Meadows. This event is also completely open to the local public and is considered to be an EULTC community project.

Day Schedule;

  • 930-1030AM – Visually Impaired Tennis
  • 1030-1130AM – Wheelchair Tennis
  • 1130-1230AM –  Coaching Opportunities / Open Session
