Excel Tennis Festivals

Tennis is a sport to be played and enjoyed and not just learnt!

By playing tennis recreationally, socially or competitively players start to enjoy playing the 'game' of tennis without the structure of a lesson.

Playing tennis matches at whatever level or ability a player is gives that player a better understanding of their game and in turn helps them get more out of their coaching sessions.

We believe all our players should be playing tennis outside of their tennis lessons, whether that be just down the park with friends and family or by entering in to competitions and tournaments.

As part of the coaching program each term we run ’Tennis Festivals’. These events are for the children in our coaching programs to get involved in playing tennis matches in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.

The events are run by our coaches and unlike normal tournaments or league matches the coaches are able to talk to the players when they are playing and help them get the most out of the game.

The idea of these events is not to see who wins the most matches, in fact we do not have an overall winner in any of the tennis festivals, it is to allow players to put into practice what they have been learning in lessons.
