I’m Olivia Smart  - an accredited level 3 Tennis Coach, Currently undertaking my Level 4. I work with players of all ages and abilities, from tots to adults.

Where did you learn to play tennis? 

I first learned to play tennis in Falkirk at the age of 6,  I quickly fell in love with the sport and grew up playing most days. I played across various clubs and county trainings, captaining junior and school teams. Now, I am Falkirk Ladies singles and doubles champion 5 years running, captain the Falkirk Ladies Division 1 team and am part of the Edinburgh Uni team 

What do you do when you’re not on the court?

When I’m not on court, I am either in the gym training in hyrox, playing some other sport (I'm also a padel coach!) or out with friends. Alongside coaching, I'm also a 2nd year student at Edinburgh University studying Business with Enterprise and Innovation. 

 

What are you looking forward to at Falcon ?

I'm not only looking forward to developing players confidence and ability, but also a thriving coaching and playing environment. I have a variety of iniatives such as the Girls Amazon Prime programme that I'd love to introduce at the club, alongside regular social tennis, establishing more junior and adults teams and using fundays to create a buzz about the place!
