Farnham Common Winter League
Farnham Common Winter League is for clubs in and around South Bucks and is a two-pair mixed league where the first match rubber is for mixed pairings and the second rubber is for the ladies' and men's pairings. The league has been going for over fifteen years and currently runs six divisions. The rules are at the foot of this page.

FCWL RULES
1. The competition will be played during the period October 1st to March 31st.
2. Clubs will arrange matches themselves. Home or away to be decided by mutual agreement. Saturdays or Sundays can be chosen.
3. The home team will provide the balls and light refreshments.
4. No player may play for more than one club per competition season.
5. If a club has two or more teams in different divisions within the league, players from the lower team may play up for one match only for a team in a higher division. You cannot play down.
6. A club with two teams or more in the same division must play their respective matches against each other before any other match is played.
7. Each team will consist of four players, two men and two ladies.
8. Each match will consist of four rubbers. Two mixed doubles followed by a mens and ladies doubles. Each rubber will consist of two sets with a tie break at 6-6 in each set.
9. The result of the match should be uploaded by the winning team captain, or if a draw by the home team captain, within seven days of the match being played.
10. Cancellation of an arranged fixture can only be made by mutual agreement, but this should only happen in exceptional circumstances, e.g. inclement weather.
11 Two points shall be awarded for each match won and one point for a drawn match. The team with the highest number of points at the end of the season shall be the division winner. If points are equal the team winning the most sets shall be the winner. If sets are equal the team winning the most games shall be the winner.
12. Clubs will be promoted/relegated at the discretion of the competition secretary, according to the composition of the divisions at that time.
