Grand National Tennis Handicap Tournament: Rajul Races Home in Style

The atmosphere at Farnham Common Tennis Club was electric as 18 players lined up for this year’s Grand National Tennis Handicap Tournament, ready to charge out of the gates and battle it out over a full afternoon of fast‑paced rallies.

Rajul proved the class of the field, finding her rhythm early and pulling away down the home straight to claim first place. Lawan stayed well in contention throughout and crossed the line in a strong second, completing a superb one‑two finish.

The men’s competition delivered its own nail‑biting drama. Rob and Tom went stride‑for‑stride in a tense tie‑break that had all the hallmarks of a photo finish. In the end, Rob won it by a nose, edging ahead at the very last moment.

Honourable mentions go to Zak and Duncan, who were right on the leaders’ tails and produced performances worthy of any racing commentary — true contenders who kept the pressure on from start to finish.

With great energy, tight contests, and plenty of sporting spirit, this year’s Grand National was a runaway success. The only question now is: who will take the reins next year?
