The lists are now open for the Club's big social tournament, this year being held on the afternoon of Sunday 20th September - starting around 2.00 (depending on numbers of entries)

We have been running the Richard & Ruth Paine Trophy from the time of establishment of the Club and it is a great opportunity for members to gather together for some tennis and socialising, although this year covid precautions make it impossible to offer our legendary slap up tea.

As in previous years, you should enter either as a mixed or ladies doubles pair - so choose your own partner. The organisers will help you find a partner if necessary

The format is a knock out, but there is a "plate" competition for first round losers - so everyone is assured at least two matches. If numbers allow, seeded pairs do not play in the first round - so all members should feel free to enter.

The entrance fee is £5 per person for Fernhurst members. Members may choose a partner who is not a Fernhurst member, but non-members pay a £10 entry fee. This fee includes the cost of whatever refreshments we are able to offer.
