Renewals

A kind reminder to those who are yet to renew, if you could find the time to get these done ASAP that would be greatly appreciated. If you're having any issues or have any questions please do get in touch and we'd be happy to assist. Gerd can be contacted on 07964 983448.

Rule Changes

We've recently had some really good queries from members seeking clarification on rules regarding visitors. In an effort to clarify those, we've had to exercise rule 40 to amend our club rules to address these. The changes are:

Rule 4 g

...An Associate Member may not play, unless first signed in as a Visitor by a Full or Intermediate Member on no more than 6 occasions per year, as described in Rule 27. A Visitors Fee will be charged as it is for all Playing Visitors to the Club.

Will be changed to:

...An Associate Member may not play, unless first signed in as a Visitor by a Full, Young Adult or Intermediate Member on no more than 6 occasions per year, as described in Rule 27. A Visitors Fee will be charged as it is for all Playing Visitors to the Club.

Rule 27
We will append the following:

"Visitor fees are due for any Non-Member/Associate members who wish to use the playing facilities.

One visitor fee covers one session of play booked on Clubspark.

Each visitor has to pay an individual visitor fee which needs to be entered & paid via Clubspark by the Full, Young Adult or Intermediate member who invites them to play.

Non-Members/Associate members who partake in coach-led group sessions will be expected to pay an increased fee for the event rather than a visitors fee. They will not be able to continue to play once the session has ended."

These are temporarily in place until the AGM in which we will bring these to the members to vote in favour/against.

Lights

We've recently had work done on our electrical input into the premises. A side effect of this is that we're now paying for the electricity we consume. Because of this, we'd really like to stress the need for members to turn off lights when they're finished playing.

The light switches can be found in the shed to the right of the clubhouse. We will be putting some signage in place to make this a bit clearer for members. If you're still unsure, please don't hesitate to get in touch with the committee and we'll be happy to show members what needs to be done.

Court 4

We've now selected a contractor to perform the repairs on court 4. We've not got a date when the work will begin yet but we hope this will be done within a month. When this is the case the court will be made unavailable on clubspark but we will let you know when this is due to commence.

Wimbledon Ballot

The LTA Ballot for Wimbledon 2022 tickets is now open and will remain open until 4 February. You should receive an email sent to the address you use for your LTA 'Advantage' account, asking you to Opt In. If you don't opt in you won't be considered for the ballot. The club will not be allocated tickets for distribution this year.

That's all from us, we hope you have a great remainder of your January and we hope to see you all on the courts!
