Galan/Lebron confirm while Ortega/Gonzalez win their first title together!

The World Padel Tour was in Madrid again last week for the Vuelve a Madrid Open. The Spanish capital culminates at 650m and was in 35C degrees heat all week. These conditions gave a clear advantage to agressive players, it was therefore no surprise to see Ale Galan and Juan Lebron winning their second tournament in a row 4/6 6/1 6/4 against former number 1 Fernando Belasteguin and his partner Augustin Tapia.

Men's final highlights

The surprise came from the women's draw. All 4 players involved were playing their first final in 2020. Patty Llaguno and Eli Amatriaín appeared to be more relaxed at the start of the match and took the first set 7/5. However Bea González and Martita Ortega never give up...they won the second and third set 6/1 to win their first title together! It was Bea González first title at only 18 years old while Martita Ortega becomes the youngest player to achieve a title with three different teammates (Ari Sánchez, Marta Marrero and now Bea González).
