Introduction
Game Set Match provides tennis and pickleball coaching sessions, individual tuition, and a variety of other services in Leeds. Michal Cicvak, the director of Game Set Match, is an ex-junior national tennis player from Slovakia with over 20 years of professional coaching experience. He has taught tennis at schools, local clubs, commercial centres, and high-performance facilities, catering to both juniors and adults across all skill levels.

Rewind to the inaugural English Open in 2022, and it was a solo show from Leeds. Zip ahead two years, and Game Set Match has exploded to a crew of nearly 30 competitors this year. Sure, not everyone from our club could make it, but I'm buzzing with pride for every pickleballer who joined the fray!
And boy, did we crush it or what?
Michal Cicvak Jr. won Silver in the Juniors event for ages 14+.
Michal Cicvak secured Gold in Men's Singles 4.5+ for ages 35+.
In Men's Doubles 3.0 for ages 55+, Dave R. and David P. took Gold.
Lucas claimed Gold in the Wheelchair event.
Nick achieved Bronze in the Wheelchair event.
Ian and Sam won Gold in Doubles for ages 35+ with a 3.5+ rating.
Michal and Nathan earned Silver in Doubles for ages 35+ with a 4.5+ rating.
Ronnie and Samuel received Bronze in Doubles for ages 45+ with a 3.5 rating.
Elena and Tracy secured Gold in Doubles for ages 35+ with a 3.0 rating.
In Mixed Doubles 3.5 for ages 35+, Sam and Mayleen won Silver Medals.
Amanda and Ian took Bronze Medals in Mixed Doubles 3.5 for ages 45+.
David P. and Cath achieved Bronze in Mixed 3.0 for ages 55+.
Elena and Stuart claimed Gold in Mixed Doubles 3.0 for ages 55+.
David P. won Bronze in Men's Singles 3.5 for ages 70+.
Guy secured Bronze in Men's Singles 3.5 for ages 60+.
Ian R. achieved Bronze in Men's Singles 3.0 for ages 70+.
Can't not to mention others stopping in knockouts, well done to Jo, Gemma, Emma, Dom, Jaan, Jacob, Martin B., Martin T., Lynn.
Victories outnumbered the losses! We had a blast! The team vibe was off the charts, with cheers flying in and out of the court. Buzzing to have such top-notch pickleball mates!
