Court Resurfacing - We are delighted to announce that the 3 brand new Tiger Turf Advantage Pro Tennis Courts have been installed ahead of the new tennis season. The new astroturf surface have replaced the 3 tarmac courts in front of the club house. Court 4 (tarmac) has been jetwashed and all are now open and available for members to book.
Fundraising - The club is hugely grateful to Sport England and the National Lottery who have supported the club through their Movement Fund. The £15,000 donation has allowed the club to invest in the new facilities whilst maintaining competitively priced membership. We are keen to make tennis and racket sports accessible to the local community.
Sponsorship - The committee would also like to thanks Rossini Restaurant in Gatley who have agreed to sponsor the tennis club. We are grateful for their contribution towards resurfacing the courts and providing a great facility for the local residents.
Coaching - We have year round coaching for children and adults run by Adam Robison our Head Coach. This takes place every Tuesday. The first lesson is FREE. For more information on coaching click here.
Clubhouse - The clubhouse is equipped with a kitchen and toilets. Drinks are available priced at £1 for tea, coffee and soft drinks. Please pay by scanning the QR code on the wall or placing £1 in the donation box.
Team Tennis - We currently have 3 mens teams (SW Manchester Div 5 & 6 and NE Cheshire Div 10) for 2026 season as we entered a new team following our successful promotion. We are looking to increase this in 2027 by adding a womens team. If you are interested in representing the club in one of the teams, please contact Adrian Yates (07917 134586)
Welcome to Gatley Tennis Club (formerly Baxter Park and Brookside Tennis Club). We are a small, friendly club in a residential area just a short stroll from Gatley village. Located in the centre of the Baxter Park Estate with entrances on High Crest Avenue (SK8 4HD) and a small car park (with narrow entrance) accessed from Penrhos Avenue.
There are 3 Astroturf (TigerTurf Advantage Pro) and 1 tarmac macadam courts and a clubhouse with toilet and kitchen facilities, in addition to a small car park. Since September 2022 we also have floodlights on all 4 courts. There is an extra charge for this which is applicable on booking.
We currently have 3 mens teams (2 in South West Manchester League and 1 in the North East Cheshire Summer League). We are looking to enter a ladies team into the summer league in 2027 and are always looking for new members.
We usually have social play during the summer months. Currently schedule is as follows:
- Team Practice (or matches): Mondays 7 - 9pm
- Coaching: Tuesdays 5 - 8:30pm and Sunday 10:00 - 12:30 (see coaching section)
- Social Play: Wednesdays 7 - 9pm
- Team Practice (or matches): Thursdays 7 - 9pm
- Social Play: Sundays 2 - 4pm

Baxter Park Bowling and Community Club are our friendly neighbours and come under the Baxter Park Sports Club umbrella.
Bowling club membership costs just £35.00 for the 2022 season or support and become a Friend of The Green from just £2.00 per month.
