GOODRICH TENNIS CLUB - TENNIS BALL MACHINE USER GROUP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Welcome to the User Group for the Club’s tennis ball machine: A Slinger Slingshot T-One. By registering for the User Group, you agree to the following terms and conditions to keep the Ball Machine secure and in good order.

1. Prior to using the Ball Machine for the first time, you must attend an induction session and familiarise yourself with the INSTRUCTION VIDEO and Slinger Ball Machine . The links to both are on the Club’s website.

2. You agree to take all reasonable care of the Ball Machine during use and to compensate the Club for any damage caused by failure to comply with the User Instructions, these rules or any reckless or negligent use.

3. Booking the Ball Machine is made via the Club website’s BOOK A COURT page. Book both the Ball machine and Court One as its only to be used on court one.

4. Please note the Ball Machine must not be used in wet weather as it will get damaged.

5. The Ball Machine will be stored in the cupboard on court one, accessible via a coded lock. The code for the lock will be sent after joining the user group

6. You must PERSONALLY be on the court at all times during any booking. Use is limited to those in your membership package ( or two single members who co-habit). You must supervise children using the machine. Club coaches ( if signed up) may use the machine when coaching as required.

7. The Ball Machine may not be removed from the Club nor may you use it for hire or any other commercial purpose.

8. You are responsible for collecting all tennis balls at the end of the booking and refilling the hopper. Balls should be taken home and dried if wet and returned as soon as possible.

9. Please notify the Club through the Secretary if there are any problems with the Ball Machine.

10. You accept all responsibility and liability for any injury or damage caused from your use of the Ball Machine and release the Club from any such liability.

11. You must return the Ball Machine along with the remote control, together with the balls to the cupboard on court one in good condition after each use. The Ball Machine must be switched-off, and put on charge with the cable and using the timer button. The socket for plugging the charger lead in is in the bottom left control panel and is identified by a “lightening bolt” mark ( other socket on right is different and is for the oscillating base unit). The large green light on the timer box on the wall of the cupboard will illuminate when the charger is on.

12. Any breach of these rules shall result in forfeiture of use privileges.

13. The Club reserves the right to amend these rules from time to time and, at its own discretion, if necessary or appropriate, to withdraw the Ball Machine from use at any time for maintenance or repair or permanently.
