Andy Smith, our coach, is a full time LTA level 4 Senior Performance Coach with over 15 years experience. He splits his time between coaching at Gregory Fields Tennis Club and Rastrick Tennis Club and running a schools coaching business ( Teenie Tennis Kids Ltd).
Andy has been with the club for 10 years.
Junior Coaching
LTA Youth Blue: Aimed at children aged 4 – 7.
Our first level for newcomers to tennis.
LTA Youth Red: Aimed at children aged 8 – 10.
When children have mastered the basics and an understanding of the different strokes, they move up to the Red 1 squad. Here, they learn to rally and score a simple match.
LTA Youth Orange: Aimed at children aged 9 – 11.
When children can consistently rally and score they move up to the ‘Orange’ squad. Tennis is now played over a bigger net with a bigger court.
LTA Youth Yellow: Aimed at children aged 12+.
Full court singles and doubles game based drills are played in a sociable fun environment.
