.  Representatives of the Committee were invited to a presentation at the Championships at Eastbourne on June 26th and then to stay and watch the tennis for the day.   This award is for the work we do for the Bright Ideas Oaktree School Project and is as much for children and staff at Oaktree School, Bright Ideas for Tennis for starting us off on this journey as all the volunteers and club members that make it happen!  Tennis really is for all.

Our Welfare Officer Kim Henderson who was paramount in setting this project up and Margaret Gibson Club Secretary travelled to Eastbourne for the presentation at the Landsdowne Hotel by the President of the LTA Sandi Procter.  A day at the tennis followed with another highlight of being presented to the crowd on Centre Court - all in all a day to remember.  

We are a small club in terms of Membership and so to achieve an accolade like this is amazing and is due completely to our marvellous Coaches and the wonderful volunteers who come every week to run the sessions with the children.  The hour every week is just joyful to be a part of and is to be recommended - it’s good for your soul! We are very grateful to everyone involved.
