Sovereign Sports returned to the Community Courts on Monday 26 April to complete the court refurbishment.
The courts were cleaned, treated for moss and sprayed with an algaecide to help stop the moss from returning.

The binding coat is going on, this helps to hold the surface together and stick the paint to the courts.

Court Upgrades (March -21)

Tennis courts are expensive to maintain and the courts in Hampden Park are beginning to show signs of damage and wear. In order to make them safe and provide a better playing experience, Hampden Park Community Courts are being upgraded over the next few months. In order to continue to maintain and upgrade these courts, they will become a pay and play venue.

The upgrades to the site started on Wednesday 24th March 2021 with the Smart access gate system being installed.

The five hard courts have been in place for some time and are showing signs of wear and damage.

Further work was carried out on  Thursday 25th March 2021.  Our Contractors Sovereign Sports removed the damaged surface on court 4 and replaced the tarmac surface

The next stage of the upgrade will take place in approx. 4 weeks’ time when the courts will be cleaned, treated for moss and repainted to improve both the look of the courts and the playing surface. The nets will be replaced at this stage. Unfortunately, this will mean a closure of approximately 2 weeks. We will keep people up to date with news as soon as we have confirmed dates.
