This course is full of fun activities to get your child used to how a ball moves, how to move to meet it, and of course, how to hit it with your racquet! Each session includes a warm-up followed by 3 different activities; body & ball, racquet & ball and finally a game; as designed by the LTA. Your child will not only learn about how to play tennis, but they will learn to listen, follow multiple instructions, problem solve, be tenacious, win, lose and to be part of a team - all in a fun setting in the fresh air. This course is for children in Year 3 and 4 and includes new strokes like the serve. The course is 11 weeks and excludes half-term. You can join (if space remains) at any point on a pro-rata basis.
