Welcome to our new tennis season. I hope this finds you well and you are ready for a great year of tennis at our lovely Hemyock tennis courts.

The AGM was held on 10th April and I am writing to introduce myself as the new Chair of the Club. I’m genuinely excited about the opportunities and challenges and working with you to help our club grow and thrive.

On behalf of the Club I would like to thank Bob Hawkes for his 5 gallant years as Chair, also the Committee for their excellent work and continued commitment to the club.

The current Committee members are: Jerry Popham (Treasurer), Grant Boyd (Welfare Officer), Julie steed (Event Organiser), Karen Steer, Suzy Besant and Tim Julier. Malcolm Steer, although not a Committee member, is instrumental in organising the league teams and matches along with Karen.

We have vacancies on the Committee for the following roles:

• Club Secretary (including membership, website and publicity)
• Junior Representative

As you know, we have a wonderful tennis community, full of energy, potential, and a shared love for the game. There are many ways you can help with building on the strong foundations already in place.
