The works to convert Courts 4&5 to an Artificial Clay surface are scheduled to begin on 30th September 2024. They are expected to last about 6 weeks.

During the works we should expect some disruption in the car park where the Contractor will need 2 spaces most of the time and sometimes more (including for a skip). Please exercise increased caution when entering, leaving, and moving about in the car park.

This also applies to the 'patio' area outside the main entrance of the Clubhouse where machines may be operating and materials may be stored.

Courts 4 and 5 have been blocked out for maintenance until Friday 8th November, reducing the number of courts available to book and for club play and matches. Captains are asked to avoid playing more than one match on the same day if possible and to try to start (or at least start warming up) earlier than usual. Weather delays may cause extension of the works and we will monitor this as they proceed.

The Committee has proposed a ballot to decide who gets to play on the new courts first; if you would be interested in entering please add your name to a list on a clipboard on the bar. Date of first play is currently assumed to be Saturday 9th November about 10.00am.
