HLTC Winter Tournament 2023-24 - Entries Now Open

The entry sheets for HLTC's annual Winter Handicapped Tournament are now on the Tournaments notice board in the main club room. Entries close on 6th October so get in there quickly !

Entries are invited from all Adult playing members (except Off-peak), Students and Upgraded Juniors whose subscription fees are up-to-date at the date of the draw (mid-October 2024) and which remain so throughout the tournament.

This is a handicapped tournament wherein the better the player you are, in the view of the tournament committee, the harder you will be penalised. There are 6 competitions:

Mens Singles
Elite Mens Singles
Ladies Singles and Doubles
Mens Doubles
Mixed Doubles

You may enter any appropriate competition(s); the Elite Mens singles has a very restricted handicap range and is aimed at the strongest men players although there is nothing top stop lesser mortals entering as long as they understand that a maximum of 2 points difference in any game applies (in other competitions it can be up to 5-7 points difference).

If you want to play in a doubles but don't have a partner just add your name and either someone else will approach you, or the Tournament Committee will try to pair you up with someone.
