General Booking Rules
- All bookings must be made online, via our website or via the Booker smartphone app.
- Courts can be booked up to 14 days in advance.
- Only one booking can be made for a single day. This booking can be for either 60 or 120 mins. You can select the minutes you require when making the booking.
- Only one court can be booked by a single player for the same time period (day and time).
- All players are restricted to a maximum of 3 bookings within 7 days of the date being booked. Please note that this restriction takes into account bookings in the past as well as future bookings.
- Please cancel any unwanted bookings online - even if this is at the last minute - to allow others to play. We will be monitoring "no shows" and will cancel any membership after 3 "no shows".
- Members, please note that your membership is not transferrable, and the member who booked the court must be playing on the court. Offenders will have their membership revoked with no refund.
- If a court is booked by a member, at least 50% of the players on the court should also be members.
- The HPTA has the right to cancel bookings at their discretion. An email will be sent to the player notifying them.
- The HPTA reserves the right to pre-book the courts for coaching, club sessions, events and maintenance.
Code of Conduct
- Players must comply with the principles of Respect and Fair Play, both on and off the courts.
- Anyone displaying abusive or aggressive behaviour or compromising the personal safety of other players will have any membership withdrawn and their access to the courts removed.
- Players should wear appropriate sports clothing, and must wear only flat soled tennis shoes on the clay courts (courts 1 to 5).
- Smoking is not allowed on the courts.
- Bicycles must not be brought inside the courts.
- No animals are permitted on the courts during normal hours of play. An exception may be made at the discretion of the HPTA committee for public events or other activities out of hours.
- The courts are for tennis use only. Football, Cycling and Scooting are not permitted under any circumstances as they can damage the court surface and nets..
- You play tennis at your own risk and we ask you to apply common sense in looking out for yourself and other players at all times.
- Please drag the artificial clay courts after use. Guidance is provided on notices attached to the fence at the end of the courts.
- If you need to pass the back of a court where tennis is already being played, please wait for a suitable break or for a sign from the players that you can cross.
- Please remove from the court everything that you take on, including all balls and general litter. Bins are provided outside the cafe.
- Please ensure you close the court gate properly when you enter and leave the court.

- In the event of anti-social behaviour or any other disturbance inside or outside the courts please contact the local police. Do not try to deal with such situations yourself.
Guidance to Coaches
- It is not permitted to use HPTA membership to deliver professional coaching services.
- No person may coach others for financial gain on any court without the prior approval of the HPTA committee and Head Coach.
Coaches must be LTA accredited.
