WALKING TENNIS

Walking Tennis is Suitable for:

• New or existing players who find Tennis too energetic

• People who are looking for a friendly, not too energetic outdoor activity

• Anyone recovering from an injury who is is looking for gentle exercise

What's Involved: Play follows the Standard rules of Tennis, with the following exceptions:

• Played with a softer ball than a standard Tennis Ball

• Players must not run - One foot MUST remain in contact with the ground at any one time

• The ball can bounce twice, but the second bounce must be within the playing surface. This restricts a player hitting the ball too hard, as the second bounce would be out of play - and would lose the point! - It’s all about placement!

What is being offered

• Free organised groups to be run prior to Open Day

• An Open Day in April when people can try playing

• Dedicated Whatsapp Group to help people keep in contact and organise games

• Free Membership for a trial period after the Open Day then to join the club
