Wimbledon 2021??

With the Australian Open going ahead later this month the obvious question for all of us at Infinity-Tennis to ask is will Wimbledon go ahead this year?

The good news appears to be that Wimbledon will go ahead even if it means that the tournament must be held behind closed doors.

The championships were cancelled in 2020 for the first time since World War II because of COVID-19, which was especially painful for all of us that had tickets!

The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) are going to do what it takes to run the event this year and withs the French, US and Australian Opens going ahead as planned they definitely have the template to make this years event a success.

Chief executive Sally Bolton said: "Staging the championships in 2021 is our number one priority and we are actively engaged in scenario planning in order to deliver on that priority."

Instead, the 134th tournament will instead be staged from June 28 to July 11 2021.

Lets keep our fingers crossed for an amazing Wimbledon 2021.
