About Katie B

Katie Bennett is an LTA Accredited Level 3 tennis coach.  With a tennis coach mum and tennis-playing dad, Katie literally grew up on the tennis court!

Katie started her career as the Community Tennis Coach for Tunbridge Wells, delivering curriculum and after-school clubs in schools, as well as holiday programmes in parks across the borough. Life then took her in other directions as she developed play opportunities for children in Croydon, worked on delivering the Children's Centre programme across Kent and running her own nutrition business, before taking time off to be mum and then recently coming back to her love of sport and tennis.

Katie began Katie B's Tennis in the Park on Sunday mornings at the Racecourse Sportsgound in November 2021 with 8 children - three yeears on, there are now over 60 children playing tennis every Sunday with her and her team. This year, she started tennis for adults as well as additional kid sessions on Saturday mornings.

Katie also  teaches squash at Poult Wood Squash Club,  teaches PE at Staplehurst primary school and is about to start teaching padel at Tonbridge Golf Centre!

Katie is passionate about community - she wants to deliver fun, social and confidence building activities that not only foster a love of sport but being active and leading a healthy lifestyle.

Katie looks forward to meeting you and welcoming you onto her courses!

Any questions, Katie will always be happy to answer them.

Testimonial:

“I strongly recommend Katie.  What I love about every session is how inclusive and relaxed they are no matter your ability.  Sessions are always varied, and new skills introduced in many different ways at your own individual pace.

I first came across Katie doing tennis lessons for children in the park in January 2022.  My 4yr old then had a taster session and we’ve never looked back.  He continues to go every week, and I now go to the beginner sessions since they started this year.

It doesn’t matter how good - or bad in my case – you are, your never made to feel any different to anybody else, and everyone always seems to have a great time.  Inclusive and Fun!!” Sarah, mum to Harvey, aged 7
