Liz Elvin - LTA Norfolk Volunteer of the Year 2018
It is with great pride and admiration, that
we get to announce our very own Liz Elvin
has won the Norfolk Tennis LTA Volunteer
of the year award, which was presented at
the Norfolk Tennis AGM on the 26th
February. Liz has been a member of the club
since the centre first opened, and has gone
on to become an integral part of the team.
Liz is a level 1 coach’s assistant, and has
been on court with us for over 15 years,
working with the mini tennis groups from
5-10 years old, all the way up to adult beginners at Rookies and Rustys. Liz also helped create the women’s coaching group that started last summer, and will resume back in April. Liz feels strongly about giving everyone an equal opportunity to play the game she loves so much, and wants to get as many women on court regardless of ability. Liz has been the Ladies B team captain for many years, and regular competes in the league. Behind the scenes Liz has been responsible for improving our database, and the general administration of the tennis club, making the centre run smoother, and often attends club forums on behalf of KES.
Liz’s smile never waivers, and she is an inspiration to us all. This award is fantastic recognition for her continued support to the club, and throughly deserved. Congratulations Liz from all of us, keep up the fantastic work.
